  Piercefield Walk Section now Open

After nearly a year of diversions the work done at the beginning of the Wye Valley Walk at Chepstow is now complete. Overlooking the Wye, a Heritage Lottery Funded project managed through the Wye Valley AONB partnership, worked on some very difficult sites and needed specialist help from Ascend, a company specialising in difficult locations.

People can now take advantage of the restored viewpoints at The Alcove, Giants Cave and Eagles Nest on their walk along the route.

Wye Valley is in the Pink for Breast Cancer Charity

The annual sponsored walk in aid of Breast Cancer is due to take place on Sunday May 16. Organised by the Rotary Club of Monmouth the day offers a range of distances for walkers to aim for. All walks end at Monmouth Showground and the walks start between 9.00 am and 12 noon. Check on the website www.pinkwalks.co.uk to register
