The Wye Valley Walk A perfect mix of hill and river walking

Bredwardine Church

Historic Norman church with a claim to several slices of history. Its chancel was destroyed by Owain Glyndwr's troops in 1406 and the churchyard is the resting place of Victorian diarist, Francis Kilvert, and George Jarvis who set up the 'notorious' Jarvis Charity in the late 1700's which led to an influx of squatters arriving to try and benefit from the charity funds.Entry Fee: None, donations welcome
